It is possible for tide times or tide heights to differ slightly between different websites. This does not necessarily mean that one set of tide predictions is incorrect.
Different websites may use different tidal prediction sources, reference locations, tidal models, data sets or methods for calculating predictions. A website may also display predictions for a nearby location rather than exactly the same tidal station.
Tides are affected by the shape and depth of the coastline and seabed, meaning that two locations that appear close together on a map can have noticeably different tide times and heights.
When comparing UK tide times, always make sure you are comparing the same location, date, reference information and type of tidal prediction.
