We love showcasing photographs of the UK's beautiful coastline and would be delighted to feature your photographs on UK Tide Times. Before submitting a photograph, please read the following terms.

1. Your photograph

By submitting a photograph to UK Tide Times, you confirm that:

  • You are the copyright owner of the photograph, or you have obtained permission from the copyright owner to submit it.
  • The photograph does not infringe the copyright, privacy or other rights of another person.
  • You have any necessary permissions from identifiable people who appear prominently in the photograph, where such permission is required.
  • The photograph is your own work or has been legitimately licensed to you for submission.

2. Copyright remains with you

You retain ownership and copyright of your photograph. Submitting a photograph to UK Tide Times does not transfer ownership or copyright to us.

3. Permission to use your photograph

By submitting a photograph, you give UK Tide Times permission to use, reproduce and display the photograph on the UK Tide Times website.

This permission allows us to use the photograph in connection with UK Tide Times, including displaying it on relevant location pages, galleries and other areas of the website.

You understand that photographs displayed on a public website may be viewed, shared, saved or linked to by other people.

4. Photo credits

Where a photograph is used, we may display the name you provide in the Your Name field as a photo credit.

We will make reasonable efforts to display the credit alongside or in connection with your photograph, but we cannot guarantee that a credit will appear every time the photograph is displayed or shared.

5. Editing and formatting

We may resize, crop, compress or otherwise technically modify your photograph where necessary to display it correctly on the website or on different devices.

We will not intentionally alter the photograph in a way that materially misrepresents the original image.

6. No payment

Photographs are submitted voluntarily and no payment, royalty or other financial compensation will be provided for photographs that are featured on UK Tide Times.

7. Your responsibility

You remain responsible for the photograph you submit and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.

If a third party makes a claim relating to a photograph you have submitted, you agree to provide reasonable assistance in resolving the matter and to notify us if you become aware of any issue concerning the photograph.

8. Photographs containing people

Please avoid submitting photographs that prominently feature identifiable individuals unless you have permission to use the photograph in this way.

We reserve the right to remove a photograph if we receive a legitimate request or concern regarding the privacy or rights of a person appearing in it.

9. Content we may reject or remove

UK Tide Times reserves the right to reject, remove or decline to publish any photograph for any reason.

This may include photographs that we consider to be:

  • Offensive, inappropriate or unlawful.
  • Misleading or deceptive.
  • Likely to infringe another person's rights.
  • Unrelated to the location for which they were submitted.
  • Of unsuitable quality for publication.
  • Uploaded without the necessary copyright or permissions.

10. Removal of a photograph

If you have submitted a photograph and would like us to remove it from UK Tide Times, please contact us and provide details of the photograph and the location where it appears - please use the Report a Problem form on this website.

We will consider reasonable requests to remove photographs and may ask for information to confirm that you are the person who submitted the photograph or the relevant copyright owner.

11. Copyright and third-party claims

UK Tide Times and the developers of this website do not accept responsibility or liability for any copyright, intellectual property, privacy or other rights issues arising from photographs submitted by users.

The person submitting a photograph is solely responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions and authority to submit the photograph and grant UK Tide Times permission to use it.

If a copyright or other rights issue arises in relation to a submitted photograph, UK Tide Times and the developers of this website reserve the right to contact the person who submitted the photograph using the name and email address provided with the submission.

The name and email address provided by the person who submitted the photograph may also be used where reasonably necessary to assist in addressing, investigating or resolving a copyright or other rights complaint concerning the submitted photograph.

If we become aware of a credible copyright or other rights complaint concerning a submitted photograph, we may temporarily or permanently remove the photograph while the matter is considered.

12. Privacy

When you submit a photograph, we may collect information such as your name and email address so that we can process your submission and contact you if necessary.

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Acceptance of these terms

By submitting a photograph to UK Tide Times, you confirm that you have read and understood these Photo Submission Terms & Conditions and agree to them.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not submit a photograph.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page will be the current version applying to new photo submissions.
